Ebay has teamed up with with Sculpteo, MakerBot, and Hot Pop Factory who are leaders in 3D printing technology to launch an iOS app named Ebay Exact which lets users customize iPhone cases, jewelry and figurines. Ebay Exact allows you to create as many unique products, exactly as you like, based on your personal desires and preferences.

Users are able to engrave products, to further customize their product they can Choose from a variety of materials, including plastics, wood and metals.
At present, the app is only available for iOS, and that appears to be limited to the US for now.
I think it is a cool idea but it could be more in use and the appeal of this service would broaden if they include Android phones and Windows phones.
