Hyetis Announces Biometric Sensors Enabled Smartwatch "CROSSBOW" With 41MP Camera For $1,200 

If you can't stand waiting for a smartwatch from the likes of Samsung (Galaxy Gear) or Apple (iWatch), a new Swiss-made watch has you covered, especially if you're a photo nerd. Hyetis, a Swiss company has announced the "Crossbow," a $1,200 smartwatch that packs a massive 41-megapixel camera facing at 12-o'clock, complete with Carl Zeiss optics. Based on the renderings shown on the company’s website, it’s hard to say how realistic this piece of wearable technology is, and Hyetis notes that “at this stage some technical features can vary on the production model.”

Hyetis has designed the Crossbow smartwatch to connect with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 8 devices, and appears to also display the weather, email and text messages, all on a working analog clock face. The smartwatch features a touchscreen, where you can navigate through notifications on its face.

The Hyetis Crossbow also features a zoom lens, a ring flash, a noise canceling microphone, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and Biometric sensors. Hyetis is still being unclear about a few technical details, but maybe those will surface before its launch. An altimeter, microphone, thermometer and biometric sensors in the band - which can measure your physical condition - are all included.

The company has so far announced that the Hyetis Crossbow will be distributed globally as part of a 500 piece collector’s edition and will bear a whooping price tag of $1,200 (Rs 73,830 approx, £772) and will be available to pre-order soon.
