Fliike Counter Shows Off Your Facebook Popularity In The Real World

Let people in the real world know how popular you are in real life with Fliike. Fliike is actually the name of a Facebook “like” counter that businesses can display to show off how popular they are on the social network. Created by French start-up Smiirl, Fliike lets you show off your Facebook Likes in real-time on a handsome, train station-style counter. The counter has a built-in Wi-Fi chip and hooks into your Facebook page after initial setup in order to display your collection of thumbs-ups as they happen.

When you put the counter on your bar or wherever else you want to display it, you can use a laptop or other device to hook up to Smiirl’s Wi-Fi, which will appear once the counter is connected to a device. Then you log on to the Wi-Fi, go to Smiirl’s website, and follow the directions to link your Facebook account to the physical counter.

Fliike measures 16.5 inches wide by 4.72 inches square; the company is pitching the product to “local businesses, public places or marketing departments.” The counter displays up to five digits, so if you’re more popular than 99,999 likes, Smiirl can add an extra numerical column to your Fliike to accommodate your massive popularity.


A limited number of Fliikes are available for pre-order for $390(USD) (yes, $390!) The first batch ships out this November.
