LG is unveiling its new flagship phone the LG G2 at an event in New York

Now-a-days smartphones' market is leaded by Apple, Samsung, HTC but we can say LG is not behind them in this race. LG is unveiling its new flagship phone the LG G2 at an event in New York.

LG has already unveiled an accessory for the G2 - QuickWindow smartphone case. It will allow users to glance at information displays without having to open the cover flap. The QuickWindow UX can be displayed with a swipe of a finger. A few images of the device also surfaced on Twitter prior to the launch.

Earlier, LG also released a teaser video featuring the G2. The video ended with a teaser of the black round-edged device that clearly showed the rear camera with up and down arrows above and below it. You can see that video below.

The company is aggressively promoting the handset globally with ad campaigns hitting the web and TV in various parts of the world.

Juicing the device with power is an embedded 3,000mAh battery that has a reported usage time of up to 1.2 days. The G2 also has interesting motion and button controls, starting with its volume rocker and sleep/power buttons, which have altogether moved to the rear of the device. These keys sit below the main camera and LED flash.

The LG G2 will be available on all 4 major US carriers - Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

LG G2 will hit the stores by the end of August and the smartphone will also be available on 100 different carriers within 90 days. Unfortunately, there is no official pricing details of the LG G2 at the moment.
