iPhone 5S To Incorporate Fingerprint Scanner In The Home Button

We have already seen the leaked images of iphone 5S before official launch. Now there comes a rumor that Apple will incorporate a fingerprint scanner into the iPhone 5S are once again surfacing. It is, after all, potentially the biggest story of 2013 as far as the new iPhone is concerned.

Those who are feared about getting their iphone in their parents hands may be distrarous, don't worry about it. With the involvement of this biometric technique no one will be able to use your iphone without you.

The new iPhone 5S

According to a research note from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 5S will indeed have a fingerprint scanner built in to the home button. The iPhone's home button has had a concave shape since its introduction in 2007, but Kuo believes that moving to a convex shape would give Apple more space in which to fit the fingerprint sensor expected to be a differentiating feature for the iPhone 5S. Additionally Kuo says that the home button will now feature a sapphire coating that will assist in keeping it from being scratched.

We think that a fingerprint sensor will be placed under the home button of iPhone 5S. However, assembling it could be difficult as the space under home button is limited as it already has to accommodate the Lightning connector, speaker and microphone. Thus, we think the shape of the home button could be changed from concave to convex to create more space for a fingerprint sensor.

A convex home button could be more easily scratched, so a harder material is required. We believe Apple will switch from plastic to sapphire, whose hardness is second only to diamond. Sapphire would protect the home button from being scratched and the fingerprint sensor from being damaged.

The addition of a fingerprint sensor to this year’s iPhone has been one of the most popular rumors going for some time now. We first saw it reported back in March, but it really picked up steam in July when references to fingerprint scanning were found in iOS 7 beta software.

Apple will reportedly unveil the iPhone 5S at a media event on September 10. Based on previous iPhone introductions, the iPhone 5S may launch within just a few weeks after that announcement. Apple is also rumored to be working on a lower-cost iPhone  "iPhone 5C" with a plastic shell, with that device perhaps also making an appearance at the September 10 event. Launching Date For iPhone 5S and 5C Is Set On September 20th In Japan 

Japanese publication Nikkei reported Wednesday that Apple's next-generation "iPhone 5S," as well as a less-expensive "iPhone 5C"  are set to be released in the country on Sept. 20 through cellular carriers SoftBank and KDDI. This will put the release date ten days after a media event in which is widely speculated that Apple will reveal the phones.

Apple's current partner carriers SoftBank and KDDI are expected to have both the iPhone 5S and 5C available on launch, while NTT DoCoMo will once again go without.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5S is expected to feature a design that is nearly identical to the current iPhone 5, but with a faster processor, an improved camera with a dual-LED flash, an embedded fingerprint scanner and a new gold color option. The mid-range iPhone 5C will likely feature more modest specs and a plastic case that comes in several colors, and it is expected to be priced around $400 off contract.

Falling in with history, Apple typically releases the new iPhone a week and a half after unveiling it. Last year, the iPhone 5 was revealed on Sept. 12 and released on Sept. 21. This would leave Nikkei‘s reported Sept. 20 release date within the realm of possibility.

In this quarter, analysts expect that Apple will be able to sell 5.2 million units of the iPhone 5S and roughly 8 million units of the iPhone 5C. The low cost variant is expected to outsell its bigger sibling just because the company is apparently facing production issues in manufacturing the iPhone 5S.

We’re already pretty sure what Apple’s next iPhones (plural) will look like, but it’s always exciting to get a glimpse ahead of an official release, like peaking behind a secret curtain. Vietnamese website Tinhte, which acquired dummy iPhone units, provide a look of Apple’s upcoming mobile devices.

New images have emerged out of Asia, that claims to accurate mockups of the next products to come in the iPhone line, the iPhone 5S and the 'low-cost' iPhone 5C. These aren't actual devices, but are purportedly mocked up units constructed by an accessory manufacturer so they can get a jump start on production before launch.

5S rumored iPhone will be a slight upgrade from the iPhone 5 that indicate Apple will largely stick to the current iPhone 5 design. The flash with the unit showing the rumored dual-LED flash set to debut in the iPhone 5S.

5C iPhone models have almost exactly the same size iPhone 5, the corners are more rounded, lumpy skin is not smooth but slightly lighter. Notably, the buttons made ​​from plastic, not metal.


Apple is expected to launch both new iPhones this September, or possibly in early October, so we’re not all that far from seeing these officially. What the dummy units don’t tell , obviously, are the device’s internal specs, and whether the iPhone 5S will come with fingerprint security.

according to Japan's largest business daily  SoftBank and KDDI will handle sales of the iPhone 5S and 5C starting on the 20th.

The U.S. announcement is expected on September 10, the report noted.

In addition to the conventional black and white models, a new "champagne gold" will be offered. This reinforces widely-reported rumors about that color option for the iPhone 5S.

Citi anticipates a "modest mix shift" to the iPhone 5S "and away from iPhone 5C," in Apple's fiscal quarter ending in December.

iPhone 5S To Come In Gold With 128GB Option

Apple’s iPhone 5S will launch in gold and with a larger capacity option, according to a report from KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo also said the device will pack a new A7 chip that could be as much as 20 percent more efficient than its predecessor thanks to a new processor design.

Kuo believes Apple's upcoming A-series silicon to be based on the latest ARMv8 architecture. In comparison, the A6 was built on a custom ARMv7 setup that doubled number crunching and graphics speeds, while shrinking die size by 22 percent.

By stepping up to ARMv8, and tweaking hardware and software packages, Kuo believes Apple will manage to squeeze out a 20 percent increase in efficiency over the A6.

That should result in a more powerful device that consumes less of your battery. Kuo also predicts faster memory specification and the same 1GB of RAM seen in the current iPhone.

Kuo notes that there is no clear evidence indicating whether the A7 will support 32-bit or 64-bit processes, but says he "would not be surprised" to see 64-bit support this year. If 64-bit isn't included in the A7, however, Kuo says manufacturing trends will likely push Apple in that direction if and when a next-generation "A8" processor is released.

Kuo suggests that the earlier champagne-colored iPhone 5S will indeed hit the market. We’ve seen parts for the third gold-colored variation, which suggest that it is indeed going to hit the market. Though, Apple typically sticks to black and white devices (or more colorful options), so it would be a break from the ordinary. The analyst believes Apple will offer a 128GB version of the new smartphone, following the trend it set with the fourth generation iPad earlier this year.

The electronics giant is getting ready for massive production of sapphire displays. 

Speculation has been running rampant about Apple's plans for mobile devices with a sapphire screen and it is finally appear to be firming up on Thursday.

The iPhone maker recently placed a large order with GT Advanced Technologies for furnaces and chambers used in making sapphire displays. According to 9to5Mac, GT Advanced has already received 518 furnace and chamber systems, which would let it build 103 million to 116 million 5-inch displays per year. (Another 420 machines are still on order, which would nearly double that production output.) Moreover, GT Advanced also has ordered Intego Sirius Sapphire Display Inspection Tool components, which would work to make sure that the displays meet high-quality standards.

Apple late last year signed a contract with GT Advanced to produce sapphire-based materials at Apple's new facility in Arizona. Apple has already used sapphire for the surface of the rear camera lens for the iPhone 5 and the ID fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S.

A future iPhone with a display made out of the material could render it scratch-resistant and nearly unbreakable.

Siri Developer Leaks Release Date For iOS 7 as Sept.10

iOS 7, Apple’s next mobile operating system for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, will launch on September 10th, according to a leaked developer email from Nuance, the company that developed Siri. The company is also expected to announce the new iPhone 5S and 5C on the same day. A message from the company to its developers was obtained by freelance tech writer Owen Williams and published to his personal blog before Nuance could take down the page.

In a mail addressed to NDEV developers, Nuance’s Mobile team wrote, “As you are probably aware, iOS7 GA will be released on September 10.” The mail essentially encouraged developers to conduct tests ensuring that their Nuance speech services continue to work seamlessly once the upgrade happens. 

The latest iOS 7 rumor fits into Apple’s recent history of releasing each new mobile OS on the same day it unveils the latest iPhone. More recently, the company has begun accepting new apps built for each upcoming iOS into the App Store ahead of the official launch, which explains how Nuance and its developers know when the new operating system will be released.

But, there are some skeptics out there who think that Nuance may be referring to the rumor that iOS 7 Gold Master would be released September 10th. Nuance does have a close relationship to Apple, but the company is not Apple, and may not have the insider knowledge to back up this current claim.

There’s still no official confirmation that Apple will announce a new iPhone, let alone iOS 7, on Sept. 10, but at this point we’re expecting Cupertino to send out announcements for the big event any day now. Stay tuned.
